The Developability Classification System for Poorly Soluble Drug Formulation Strategies
The developability classification system (DCS) has been proposed as a modification of the BCS to assist in the formulation of poorly soluble compounds. The DCS introduced two new compound categories: dissolution limited (DCS IIa) and solubility limited (DCS IIb). For DCS IIa molecules, particle size reduction and wetting agents can be considered. For DCS IIb compounds, solid-state modification can be utilized.

Bioscience Research through Innovative Technologies
The latest research findings made by scientists at Umeå University shows that some severe cancers can be predicted by biomarkers through a simple blood test up to 25 years before the disease debuts. Prediction of any disease before symptoms occur, by detecting bio-markers or using next-generation gene-sequencing, are two key factors for creating a world free from any illness. However, lifestyle factors are still of great significance for a healthy life.
On the 9th edition of the event, Bioscience Research through Innovative Technologies will explore the latest in cell biology, and highlight topics such as Precision medicine, Gene-editing/genomics, Proteomics and Fighting SARS-CoV 2/Covid-19.

HEALTHTECH @ MEDICON VALLEY 2021
To showcase the regional life science, healthcare and digitalisation strongholds, Medicon Valley Alliance (MVA), Copenhagen Capacity, and Invest in Skåne have joined forces to bring you the 2021 edition of the HealthTech @ Medicon Valley event. This half-day session will explore the landscape for the commercialisation of HealthTech offerings in Europe, with Denmark and Sweden in focus. The event feature national perspectives on health technology assessments and reimbursement requirements, and a selection of specific real world examples of how HealthTech companies in Medicon Valley have journeyed and succeeded on the road towards commercialisation.
